The Kuwait Association of Surgeons (KAS) is a professional membership organization of surgeons that was founded in May 2016 to enable surgeons to achieve and maintain the highest standards of surgical practice and patient care.

Kuwait Association of Surgeons (KAS) is dedicated to improving the care of the surgical patient and safeguards the standards of care in an optimal and ethical practice environment through professionalism and surgical education.

Objectives

• To advance standards and reduce the variability of patient outcomes We aim to improve the use and quality of existing and possible future sources of clinical data. This information will inform and drive improvements in the care delivered by surgeons. The KAS will take a leading role in delivering quality improvement plans and sharing best practice specific to surgery.

• To attract, educate, develop and support high-quality surgeons We will play a central role in educating, developing and supporting surgeons throughout the whole of their careers. We will encourage and inspire students and doctors to become surgeons.

• To influence and shape future health policy and practice to advance standards of surgical care We will develop a proactive and planned approach to stakeholder engagement, nationally and internationally. We will include all relevant stakeholders involved in the delivery of healthcare.
